Axe for spoon carving

Hi

Can anyone recommend an axe I can use for shaping spoons. Is the GB Wildlife hatchet the right size?

Or what about something less expensive?

i use the small forest axe, mainly because its an all round axe and meets all the needs for me, i don't need to carry or buy more than one axe.
