had a good walk around a wee valley just off ilkley moor, seems that it hasnt had much in the way of public attention, it had a lovely wee stream running through it, wee were lucky to spot a few wild brownies in the deeper pools, a couple of herons and a couple of stoats chasing rabbits. Brilliant little beasties they are. There were plenty of mushrooms too, russulas, panther caps, fly agarics, boletus/penny buns and a couple more that I didnt know.

Looks like you did well with the fungi, the weather has been great just recently for walks.

Hi Jonnie.

That's not a Panther Cap. It's a Blusher. Blushers are very, very common. Panther Caps are rare. You can eat Blushers. Panther Caps are very poisonous. You can tell it is a Blusher because the exposed flesh has gone pink. Panther caps stay white (apart from the cap).
