Hi guys,
Is there anyone local to me im in Warsash Hampshire that is a dab hand at sharpening? i have read the tutorials but cant seem to quite get it. Would any of you local super sharp types be able to assist?. Its a W/S micarta and im using a 1000/6000 combination waterstone. Any assistance would be greatfully recieved.

Yeah, I'm in Hampshire - if it helps, I wrote the "£5 sharpening kit" sticky thread that has pictures on how to sharpen. If that doesn't give you tips, Wayne is organising a meet up for us in the next couple of weeks at the Hampshire Bowman (find "Bishops Waltham" on your map - its about a couple of miles outside)...come along and meet us - if you are struggling, we'll advise....if that still fails, we'll sort out a "practical demonstration" at your gaff or mine - benchstones can be provided!
