Arktis Smock advice

I've just been lucky enough to pick up a black Arktis smock from EBay( excellent a1 condition and for only £53 Billy bargain). It's been used and the fabric has softened so it's lovely and comfy but I'd like to reproof it so it sheds water as my Dancam still does. I know its waterproofness is in the liner but my Dancam sheds water beading it and allowing it to run off. The question is what should I use to reproof it. Advice please.

Of course the question is before SWMBO gets. Shirty on should I get rid of my Dancam or SASS 'ventile'?

i think they saggest nickwax reproofing mate.
you cant get rid of the dancam the colour is awesome mate

Can't really help on the proofing question, although the suggestion about contacting the manufacturer is a sound one.

Are you mental ! Why would you possibly consider getting rid of some obviously essential kit....

however if I didn't already have a SASS smock I might have suggested that you sell it to me

I will use all your comments as a petition to my missus for the following crusade " I can have as many outdoors jackets as I want". I can't even throw the shoe/handbag argument in her face. Solidarity brothers......and sisters.
