An excellent coastline with plenty of wildlife (birds and seals) with plenty of 'secret' beaches for discreet camping/bivvying. Limited hammocking unles you know rockgear placements ! Nearly midge and tick free, if you stay on beaches/rocks.

Just confirms that the best thing for todays British outdoorsman is:

1) Buy a canoe.
2) Move to Scotland.

Brilliant place, I wonder if you were up there the same time as my sister and her family, they are long standing campers at Joyces (Invercaimbe) site and were up last weekend.

I was up at Knoydart myself this weekend visiting an uncle, I'll post a few photos later.

Aye, tried to paddle Loch Faskally on friday on the way home but very gusty.
Just spent money on a slap up lunch at House of Bruar instead !

Yes, I was. There was two families, one with a camper/tent and one with just tents. Maybe another family in a MOGO (small 4 wheeldrive ex-army thing)
