i would avoid arctic fox fur these days as they are starting to become very endangered. Go for wolf, coyote or wolverine. been looking for some myself but so expensive to source it from the US.
If you are desperate you could look in some classier charity shops for old/vintage stoles/wraps etc. wont be particularly cheap, but are out of fashion i believe....recycling and all that.
You should consider sourcing the fur from Canada, not the US.
Wolverine is the best of the best = your breath doesn't condense as frost in the cold (-20C and colder).
Wolf and/or coyote look nice as the hairs are really long. Lynx looks the best but the price is obscene.
Just exactly how much length/width do you need? Would you settle for smaller pieces to sew together?
PM and I'll ask the local trappers that I know.
