I'd be interested in learning the study you did for it Martin , Were you intending to walk it as a through'n'through , or break it into legs? If so how long did you think it would take etc.

That'd take more bandwith then what's available, but I was planning on 6-7 months, returning to the UK halfway to resupply on medication and swap out cold weather gear for warm weather. I started mid February to beat the bubble. Next year will be packed with the Class off 2021 and most of 2020s restarting.

As suggested HMW - Dixie is a good place to start, Heres a few self explanitary sites to get you started:

Any other info just ask

Theres a lass who's done some of the big trails and has put some very watchable videos on YouTube. She's done short individual posts then longer condensed posts of the whole thing. All very good. She's done the US big three and the Camino in Spain. Link to one of her videos here;

She's done other shows about her kit and how to's. Nothing necessarily ground breaking but I found them very enjoyable.

That would be the Homemade Wander Lust I mentioned earlier :)

I have no plan to hike those trails, but I have enjoyed watching her videos. Very educational, and interesting to follow on those adventures.
