Healthy growths of common/soft rushes in East Lancs as all I've seen at my usual cropping sites has been stunted looking stuff buried deep in last years dead growth.

I'm wanting to crop some for rush lights come the end of June/July and the ones here have been piddling the last two years. Last year they re great big juicy ones at a place in south Wales we were at but we can't get this year.

They're like that here up in North Lancs, the late snow has checked their growth a bit. They'll probably be better later on in the season.
