Another day...and another trip to the woods

Today was another one of those interesting days where the project at hand meant a trip to a wooded lake.

I brought back a few pictures.

The water was up, and the fish seemed content.

There were lots of Blackberries to munch on, several of the Devil's walking sticks, and if you look close you might see some poison Sumac.

Saw only a few tracks, and none very clear, but I did find this feather.

Here's one for perspective...not sure...it may be an owl feather..anyone know for sure?

Thanks Andy, glad you like the pictures. This isn't everyday work for me....though I wouldn't mind.

Glad you like the knife. I love it for the woods, but Bryan is making me a smaller one after carrying, and working with this one for a while.

No...I was just born here and know where most of the quiet places are.

Yeah, they hurt when you grab one for support in the dark.
