These have been around for a while. I don't own one but did play with one a few years ago; nice little setup.

Looks sturdy enough, one of my gripes with most alcohol stoves is they aren't stable enough especially pressure ones like the whitebox, I made my own but you need a really solid flat surface to use it properly.

Tinny actually sold a stove that didn't need a flat surface(for a while). It was more for a joke really but I have one. Basically its a stove (wick style) that is on a spike. then you push into the ground around it three other spikes (included) Voila!
He also said about selling flat places for people that couldnt find one.
On a serious note stoves like the whit box etc do need more care with the pan but I think its one of those things you get used to.
