Went for a wee bimble this afternoon. I am lucky that I have broadwood land literally ten min walk from house. Only took a medium sized pouch bag, FAK and sheath knife.
More a walk for some exercise and stretch the legs. That said , was on the lookout for anything useful.
Bagged a nice piece of fallen tree limb for staff or walking stick, possibly hazel, need to confirm.
Hunted down ( it was a tough chase ) some fallen S.Birch for some Horse's Hoof fungus.
Got really lucky !
Actually got five of these but processed one on site.
As you can see it was nice and thick with harvestable amadou
So thats my Sunday afternoon now sorted out, wee fire and boiling the amadou.
