At the risk of starting another "glamping? sham-ping more like!" thread I'm looking for somewhere to take my family... in the campervan.
Tackeroo at Cannock Chase is our default relaxing spot. Rock up in the 30 year old campervan, set up a tarp and the hammock, cooking over a fire in a little fire pit. Walking and riding from the spot, rummaging through the woods for firewood. It's fantastic! A wild camp in our local woods is planned, although that may have to wait for warmer weather as my girls (3 and 5) haven't laid down much winter "insulation" yet, fit little buggers.
So, we live in Matlock, enjoy the freedom of Tackeroo, but Tackeroo is shut. Where else is there?
