Has anyone modded one of these? I want to put on a chin strap. Where is the best location on the hat to position it, and how should it be fixed?

Definitely agree with that, I have a cord on my hat to wear it on my back when I'm in the open and it's windy but otherwise the cord is tucked inside the hat. The hat has little tabs with holes for the cord, and I just pushed the cord through and knotted it rather than tying it on so they'll pull through if any serious force is applied.

Got a picture of the underside/inside of the hat? You could, perhaps, glue a couple leather tabs on the inside hanging out just enough to attach a cord to...

I use elasticated shockcord for a strap, with a cordlock for adjustable tightening, that way there's plenty of give should I need it.

Thanks for advice. I had not even considered that there maybe any danger in having a chin strap. I will have a rethink!
