A walk through the mountains in Autumn

I went up on the side of Walden's Ridge today to take some pictures of the stream and the autumn colors.


There are lots of sandstone boulders that have fallen down the mountain side over the years

I found this little lizzard sitting on a stone

Lots of fallen leaves along the path

and under some of the trees

I found the scat of some animal

and lots of these seed hulls

and these blueish purple flowers

from these Empress or Paulownia trees....originaly from China. Now they are considered an invasive weed....at 7 to 10 meters they are some weed.

I found a new use for my paracord bracelet..., tying trees back....

so I could get the shot I wanted

The scenery along the way was nice, it was very peaceful

Then I spent an hour sitting by this little pool

where I could listen to the water falls splashing into the pool and gaze into the water and see the reflections

Of beautiful golden trees like this

The colors along the top of the mountain are near peak..., probably by next weekend

It was a beautiful day for a walk in the woods

Thank you, I am glad you like them. The trees are almost at peak color..., maybe next weekend. I hope to get out somewhere and get really good shots on the lake or around a water fall.
