Yesterday I headed off on the bus to one if my favourite places. Waveney Forest is a private woodland with public access, the woods are on the edge of the broads and during the summertime sailing boats can be seen close by. The forest is being cleared of a few hundred pine trees and there's a chance some quarrying may take place. Anyhow I walked around and soon spotted what I believe is a Chinese water deer. I sat watching for over 30mins before it was frightened off by a dog.

Also as I was looking around I noticed this tree, now is this a burl?

Well next time I hope to get better photos of deer.
