Now you remember I fixed this frayed blanket

I have now turned it into a poncho. I saw some nice wool ones at Stainsby festival, at £40 each. But I thought, `I have this striped blanket.`

Ill take a close up of the blanket stitch later.

The blankets not a fancy one; but now its a lot better than it was, and more importantly, it has given me confidence to work on a better example.

Fancy or not, does it do the job it supposed to do?
And you did learn something while doing it, so I'd say "mission accomplished".

i ended up buying one of those ponchos from stainsby (although IIRC mine was £30), superb bit of kit to be honest. the salesman explained to me that it was handmade from hand spun unwashed alpacca wool using traditional methods by villagers in a peruvian village, he couldn't quite explain the overlocked seams but there you go!

top effort on the home-made version tengu, blanket stitch's great isn't it
