A river and a mountain stream in Autumn

Well..., work was canceled due to poor weather conditions so having a little time to kill I decided to go for a walk. I drove down to the river and then started off on a short hike.

The mountain top..., where I was supposed to be working is lost in a very dense fog but the Autumn colors still show up pretty well on the lower sections

I saw a Crane gliding across the river

and a boat on the river, great time for a ride up the river

There are lots of Autumn berries, the birds will eat well

After enjoying the colors along the river I turned into the wood and headed toward Middle Creek. There is the ruin of a long stone wall along the trail to the creek.

and the creek is beautiful this time of year

This Sunday, I hope to get to go hiking further up the creek, should be some great ops for pictures up there

The creek reminds me of a place where I played as a kid in Yorkshire

Thank you all, I am glad you enjoy the pics, it is a great place to live as far as this aspect goes..., if only the economy would pick back up some.

That creek is one I played in and around as a kid...., more years ago than I care to think about.
