A Quick Question On Kuksa Use

I know there's a tradition that kuksas aren't used for milk, but does that apply to drinks with milk in them too?

Is there any reason not to use one for tea, coffee or hot chocolate (with milk)?

(Sorry if this isn't the right spot for this question - I thought those that make them would know best).

I know Wayland of this parish enjoys a drink made from condensed milk and pineapple juice in his Kuksa on most meets so i'd sat go for it

use milk in mine ,always followed by a glug of spirit (the new Smirnoff Apple) to sanitise it after.

Interesting - not one i have heard before. I wonder why.

Putting the kuksa in a pot of boiling milk is a good way to seal it.

i would imagine the milk that soaks in could go rancid if not cleaned.

Actually in Finland, reindeers and such were originally milked to a kuksa-like vessel called nappo.

That were my thoughts too,so just use mine for alcohol derived libations.
