A Question about EBAY

Can anyone shed some light on this matter ?

I'm currently selling an item on Ebay.

I listed the item at 99p

The same person has bidded 4 times and the item is still 99p, This seems a little dodgy to me.

This seems a little unfair to other prospective buyers and myself as I want the best price I can get.

Am I only gonna get 99p?

Should their bids be removed ?

What are they up to?

I'm puzzled:confused:

If you bid 99p and then up your bid to £2 and then up it again to £3 then once more to £4,it will show 4 bids but the highest bid will still be 99p as no-one else has put a higher bid in.You can't outbid yourself but ebay will show the total amount of bids.I wouldn't worry .I often place a bid then realise that the item may go higher so place another higher bid just in case.

Sapper1 is exactly right. This is normal and fine.
If there is only one bidder then it will remain at 99p until another account bids. So yes if no other account bids the then you will only get 99p.

eBay bids on your behalf up to your maximum - your bidder obviously updated his maximum a few times. Why don't you post the link here and you might get some more bids on it?

I think the idea with putting multiple bids in is to put other folk off, if they see an item with a number of bids they tend to think there's too much interest for them to bother.

I've done it myself a few times but I only make two bids.
