Well, I'm at work and a trifle bored, so my thought start wandering a bit - well, lots actually.

On my desk I have a tin of travel sweets, nearly all gone.
The tin is just under 4 inches in diameter and an inch and a half deep (100mm x 38mm for the youngsters amongst us)

The challenge is, what is the best employment for this tin when it's empty?

If it's some sort of kit, what should go in it etc.

I'm looking forward to some imaginative ideas, because I know the calibre of you folks.

Over to you.

It's a tin of good things :D

Somewhere I know I can scrounge one of those tins (the Auntie's a sweetie monster  she's bound to have one empty)

Good challenge Dave

Surely in this august company the best use must be a fire kit? :) Not that I have a tin, as mine is kept in a leather pouch (thread collision alert!)

bannock baker? premix the dough and pre-coat the tin with butter, store the dough in the tin and then chuck it in/beside fire for a bit. done. Not sure how it would turn out, I might give it a go some time

I store fishing line (on a spool) in mine, stops that unravelled mess of a birds nest in the bottom of your rucksack or kayak that you can get.
