A Feast for your eyes

BOD

Bushcrafter (boy, I've got a lot to say!)
One of my favourite things is to spend time on a jungle river at a nice camp site swimming, eating and just relaxing around the fire.

I’ve just come back from such a trip in Borneo and so I’d like to invite you to join me on these riverbanks for a feast (for the eyes).

The real one tasted pretty good too.

I hope you enjoy it.

Fish is easy to get if you know how. Punt, gather net, cast, paddle into back eddy and collect fish

Thanks Bod :D Beautiful bit of the world.
I thought we had a lot of water, and our hills look nothing like those.

Great photos though you will never find me in a hot, humid jungle.:)......the food looks fantastic but I 'll skip the boars head......thanks for sharing.

Amazing scenery! Thanks for sharing. One of the things I always love about your posts is that I always see at least one thing I've never seen before.

Cast nets are awesome. I think they have since been outlawed in the state of Florida, but back in the 70s I saw them used with great effectiveness. At right times and in right places they are a very efficient means of putting a large number of fish on a table with minimal effort.

Great post, Bod. I have some filipino friends here in the UK and they always have first dibs on the pigs head...They cannot understand my boiling it to make brawn...differing cultures are what keeps us searching...
