A couple of beech spoons

Hi guys,

I keep getting nagged by swmbo that we need a new cooking spoon so decided to make a couple over the weekend from a piece of beech I had laying around.
It was still mainly green and after carving I let them dry out over the weekend and oiled today.

Not sure if anyone else does this but I gently warm the dried spoons out in the oven until hot to the touch then apply the oil, in this case rapeseed.

Great work there, I like it when people use wooden utensils in the kitchen. It's a shame that it does not happen in my household but it puts a smile on my face when other people use the spoons I make.
