I got up this morning, as it was a day off thought I would go out and try my new boots out, so the rucksack was packed and off I went, to a local wood near Ipswich.

Here's a few pics, hope you enjoy.

as I got nearer, it got a bit more overgrown

Found a nice little lump about the size of a football

quickly rigged up the hammock for a brew, and a bite

Tried to keep my cuppa warm

these were the only signs of shooting I found, but looks like it was awhile ago,

Came across a shelter, and a rake out side it, I take it was in use this summer

Looks like you had a bimble in some nice woods Stu :)

What's the burl on, a bit of birch? Only asking as it's hard to make out in the picture

It was a nice bimble, I think it was a birch, it was grey in colour, quite smooth, bark was not peelable, but not a silver birch, leaves under it were like a birch, saying that as you can see from a lot of the pics its a very mixed woodland.

I am not that good with trees at the best of time, with out leaves at the best of time.
