I was lucky enough to get my hands on a DB tomahawk head (well I asked him to make me a small one) and it is awesome, Razor sharp and solid!

Anyway.... I made a handle out of purple heart wood and took some bloody awful pictures of it to show you.

These are in comparison to an SFA

I intend to give it a good run to see how an axe this small will perform

Will feed back if people are interested

I like the look of that with the purpleheart.
I think you might be surprised by it's capabilities. My own modest little chopper performs beautifully
and looks to be a similar size.As long as it's sharp it will cut just fine.
Nice looking axe now.
Cheers , Simon

Sharp?!?!

It is sharper "out of the box" than any GB I have owned (which is a few!)

Looks good mate how long have you done the handle?
My favorite axes are small light heads but with quite long handles like the GB outdoor axe which i think is a cracker, i much prefair it to say the GB hatchet that has a small head and short handle
i also like them to have a norlunds hatchet style head.
Very nice
