Greetings,

There are cases when carrying around a proper two foot long chopper or a flaming Zweihänder ripped off of the cooling corpse a freshly fallen Landsknecht just ain't feasible.
So I came up with a substitute idea, still effective, but small enough to be unnoticed to pull through these uncommon, horrible moments, with style! :)
The brown sheathed one is 16 cm long, with a 4 cm edge and the black sheathed one is 15.5 cm long, with a 3.6 cm edge.
They are 90 euro each.

Looks pretty mad but beautiful too, zombies better be running.

How much of the edge is sharpened, is it just my eyes telling me that only the end piece is sharp?

Thanks! Glad you like them :)
They have 4 and 3.6 cm sharpened edge respectively. I have marked it with red ;)

Very unusual to my eye, really love the look but I am trying to think what i would use it for, very pokey, my wood workers eye would like a nice scandi grind down the red edge and the belly but I have a one track mind with knives these days and its all about wood work

I see. Well kiridashies are quite unusual beasts, so no wonder they seem a bit strange to someone not accustomed to them. But this is the nature of them. ;)
Actually I think they are traditionally used for sharpening pencils, by students in the far east, in a way that is also woodwork :D My personal experience with the design is, that they are quite versatile in a workshop. I use one similar but simpler, equipped with thicker wooden handle, for carving leather, wood and antler. The weird shape and angle of its tip cuts remarkably well the thick leather for my sheaths!
Btw, scandi grind is not possible on a damascus. :( A pattern welded blade requires a secondary bevel, or the sharpening ruins the pattern.
