    Torches

Anybody got any good methods of making torches? The best i've tried is consetina'd birch bark/cherrybark (a good strip or two from a dead tree) pinched in the split end of a stick with a good blob of pine resin in. Burns for about 5-7 minutes. Rich

    Crampballs

Does anyone know if theres any truth in Crampballs being used in aid of cramps? Apparently theres a folk story that you'd put them down your pants and they'd help... I don't know about that one but would it be effective in a tincture or a drink? I've tried to research on the subject but theres...

Birch Polypore / Razor Strop Fungus

Has anyone ever eaten it? I found a haven for them today and I read in a book on medicinal mushrooms that theyre quite tasty at a young age, if a little bitter. Anyone?
