Reading between the lines, no one kit will be appropriate for every situation. A nice started kit might contain all the generic items mention, plaster, bandage etc .. then just add the bits you need per outing.

I use the Helios Mistral WP4, although a little on the heavy side they are sturdy and very clear/bright dusk till dawn. my advice would be try before you buy.
