    Contacting Cegga?

It's funny you mention it, because last night I just tried contacting him as well about a double bit axe head. I sent him a PM here and on BCUSA but I'm not sure if he responds to pm (he might just prefer emails).

    The "Survivor"

I can't fathom why someone would even consider attempting to survive in the wilderness, without one of these. Clearly this was designed by the gods.

Woodlore Knife vs Skookum Bush Tool

Thanks for the positive comments guys, it's much appreciated. :) Andy, I use stock removal. I buy the flat bar-stock, and grind it on down. Forging is something I'd like to try in the future for sure. I ended going with my own style, mostly influenced by the Woodlore knife.

Woodlore Knife vs Skookum Bush Tool

Sorry for bringing this very old thread back from the dead, but I just figured I'd give a bit of an update. The thread was originally created to help me decide which knife to base my first self-made knife off of. I made my first one out of a file, using Greenpete's tutorial as my bible. I was...

    New Gransfors Outdoor Axe

I agree with you, Heath. So much of bushcraft is centered around a "carry less & know more" theme. I have heard of people carrying such combinations as the Scandinavian Forest Axe and the Gransfors Mini, for the sole purpose of them both having specific roles. This new "Outdoor Axe" could...
