    Brandecosse cervo rosso

OK, sorry if some of this is a little vague... I met the son on their stand at a game fair this year as I am wanting a pair of the cariolo. Family business and really great looking boots. Can be resoled by anyone that re-soles vibram shoes/boots else you can send them back. They're based in...

    Archery - variable range

Depends upon bow discipline And specifics of sighting aids, or not. What type of bow are you shooting and if using a sight, what sort?

    Archery Target - Foam

Don’t know if this helps none but the foam bosses you can by - the material used is used in bed manufacture. If you can source it, it’s easily cut and then with timber and metal rod you can make up a boss. I‘d be concerned about bouncers off those foam floor mats if using a bare bow or longbow...

    Bushcraft/outdoor shopping in London

Thanks everyone for the ideas. We’re away on the sleeper train this evening. Noticed there’s a Beretta gallery centrally located so am taking my licences, just in case!

How's the weather where you are ?

We’ve e had it boiling hot now for so many days. Just feel like I’m constantly ferrying water around the croft to keep the animals alive. Happy complaint though as I’d rather this than the rain.

    Bushcraft/outdoor shopping in London

That sounds great. I’m going to Farlows for some fishing supplies (lots of secret trout loch near where I live) and Victorinox, might treat myself :)

    Bushcraft/outdoor shopping in London

Doesn’t have to be for sharps. Clothing, gear etc. But good call as I usually carry a pocket knife so will have to make sure it stays home.

    Bushcraft/outdoor shopping in London

I’m coming down to London soon and wondered if there were any shops in central London worth a visit. I appreciate that the bushcraft store is in Enfield but won’t be able to travel that far out due to time constraints. Maybe zones 1 and 2 on the tube. Any outdoor or bushcraft shops worth a look...

Wanted German army knife - victorinox preferred

Have a German Mauser knife I might part with if you’re interested? Think it’s victronox. Like the one in the photo but had 2 blades and a saw. Saw has the cover.

    Homestead Failure

Had to watch the video to understand what unpulled wees are :) Social media has a lot to answer for in making the life appear like a dream. We’re up at 5am every day rain or shine and are dead on our feet by 21.00hrs each night. Wouldn’t have it any other way though. My main problem is self...

    Travel advice

What toddy said is great advice. I’d stay away from the islands at that time of year due to the weather and erratic ferry sailings. The far north west coast will be closed and there’s few Catholic Churches. Far north east coast would be better for all amenities, accommodation, shopping, access...

    Onetigris wild rocket pack

I have one and love it. Well made and has a large capacity. So far I've found it comfortable to carry but haven't done any extra long journeys with it. I dont miss a floating (more traditional) top lid. For me, it also has just enough exterior pockets with internal organisation.
