    Kirtley or O'Leary?

Hi Guys, I would really like to do a week long bushcraft course and think I've narrowed it down to Frontier Bushcraft's Elementary or Wilderness Survival Skills' Wilderness Awakening. I tried to start a thread in the 'courses' forum, but haven't been able to post for some reason? Has anyone on...

Nice one, cheers Steadfast - just read your reply (17.10.16) - ditto problems at this end and only just appeared now I closed and reopened the thread...

Keela Munro vs Paramo Alta III jacket - your views?

Thanks Paul - I've got my mountain walking waterproofs sorted, so was really looking for a lower level, lower activity top for the woods. Basically I want a replacement jacket for my ridgeline smock. Is ventile really that waterproof? What top have you got?

Keela Munro vs Paramo Alta III jacket - your views?

I'd love a velez light jacket with a full length zip too Chris! I'm tempted to try their light smock - see review link here It's very tempting - almost makes me want to go with a smock over a jacket...

Keela Munro vs Paramo Alta III jacket - your views?

Yeah, seen that online, but it looks like it's slimmed down and built for hard and fast activities - I want something waterproof and tough to sling on in the woods.

Keela Munro vs Paramo Alta III jacket - your views?

Thanks Tony - good advice about a single layer goretex on top - any suggestions? I've got a bombproof softshell and a buffalo windshirt as an alternative mid/outer layer. What's the breathability/venting of the alta like?

Keela Munro vs Paramo Alta III jacket - your views?

Nice one Chris, cheers. Sounds like we're similar builds (I'm a bit heavier), but I'm a 44" chest so normally get a large, but don't want to look like a kid wearing his dad's clothes! It's funny now you mention it but I popped in to that same store you mentioned probably 10 years ago and think...

Keela Munro vs Paramo Alta III jacket - your views?

Guys, thanks for the feedback and insights to both jackets. Interesting to read that the keela is such a warm jacket too, as I'm after something that's suitable for more year round use. As I said I 'run hot' and am fed up with getting wet in my own sweat in my Ridgeline. It sounds to me that...

Keela Munro vs Paramo Alta III jacket - your views?

I'm in the market for a new waterproof shell and think I've narrowed it down to these two. If you've got one (or both!) I'd appreciate your views on them. I'm a fairly warm bloke so have often been put off Paramo, but the breathability of it appeals to me. I've got a Ridgeline smock which i'm...
