    Primitive Tech Tree

I've always assumed man's first tools as hammer then knife. A hammer because that's simply picking up a rock & then something sharp follows. As for progression, "necessity is the mother of invention" so it's circumstance dependant.

    Primitive Tech Tree

Funnily enough when I read TeeDee's opening post "Connections" came to mind. Brilliant series & the book is a good read even if not right up to present date. Though maybe more up-to-date than your idea TeeDee the "connections" in each program (or chapter) usually start with a fairly early...

sealing a stacked leather knife handle ?

Sorry airborne09 for going off topic... That's cool demographic having a 37 stamped one. I'm in Spain & don't see too many old ones, it was typical that after wanting one for ages I found two within a few weeks of one another, at least they're a 16 & a 20oz, that was 2020 & I haven't seen...

sealing a stacked leather knife handle ?

I agree with @demographic, these are two Estwings I re- handled & used boiled Linseed oil on, it does darken the leather quite a bit but combined with burnishing makes a nice finish. Right one oiled, left one not, the colour lightens a little with time. An old image, they look better now with...

Cody Lundin's Survival Show coming soon on TV

The show looks like it could be fun, a bit different. Fingers crossed. "When all hell breaks loose" is one of Cody's books I've read & can recommend. Aimed at those living in urban areas & the specific problems that creates in a disaster scenario. Bit lacking in jumping out of helicopters...

    Victorinox, which model?

As has already been commented on S.A.Ks have been popular company promotional knives for years, there are loads out there with names on them. You'll probably find a bit of fine (1200) wet-n-dry paper & some polish will get rid of the name with a bit of elbow grease, if you'd prefer the name...

    HEXAMINE. PLEASE READ!

So you started the thread going again after a few weeks of inactivity..... How is that relevant? He's hardly an innocent is he..... Not like he was accidentally in possession of some Hexi tablets, I'd understand it if he'd been mistreated.....
