    Getting out with the kids

    Hi Can anyone recommend a good campsite for practicing bushcraft skills in the south of England or around the North Wales area. Allows campfires, some woodland and off the beaten track. I’ll be with my kids so not quite up to “Wild Camping” just yet. Thanks!

    To keep the kids entertained, then take some guides to help identify flora and fauna. And yours might be a little too young but some paracord is always handy for knot practice.

    Knife skills for kids

    My son is 8 so thinking the time is right. Am going to start with a Mora fixed blade. There are some that have a blunted end which might prevent a few injuries. I like the idea of having a sign or something that lists a few "house rules".
