You are not making any sense. If you are going to offer criticism you could at least deign to justify it.

My first bushcraft knife. What should I look out for.

Another vote for Mora. I was sceptical at the price but they really are brilliant quality. You can afford to experiment with them too. I wouldn't buy the DC4 - I don't rate them - and a firesteel and striker can be bought dead cheap separately

    Which hatchet?

Guess it was last spring / summer. I feel a bit guilty giving negative review but I wasn't impressed. It wasn't sharp out the box either. Balance for carving was nice though

    Which hatchet?

I've had problems with these. I bought one and the handle worked loose after a few sessions spoon carving. Robin sent me another (good guy that he is) but it has the same problem. It isn't me, honest! Possibly a duff batch, I guess

I used to be a chef too and have had a few Globals. Not my favourites but - with only one exception - have always been razor sharp ootb. I reckon a previous comment was right - a boatload of cheap knock offs from China flooded the country a while back. They were all over Ebay and at loads of...

best knife for processing game birds

Hi all - new here so apologies for raising a topic that has probably been discussed before. I have come into a ready supply of game birds - pheasant and partridge principally - and I am in the market for a new knife to deal with them. I have a Mora Companion that handles the job okay but I'm...
