Hey Guest, Early bird pricing on the Summer Moot (29th July - 10th August) available until April 6th, we'd love you to come. PLEASE CLICK HERE to early bird price and get more information.
Does anyone have any further ideas? So far it's Paramo, Buffalo and Ridgeline.
Paramo 's wind and waterproof smocks are around £150+ and I think that's the same for Buffalo too. The Ridgeline smock could be the choice at around £75 it's making sense.

Maybe so that you could attach them to a ridge line running under the tarp. That way it wraps itself around the hammock. I didn't need to do this though.
Went out to trial the new UQ and tarp today.

...and again the comparison compression...
I just got some gear from them recently. Good service and a lot of folks on here using DD. Good for your price range, but you will need a tarp. They're cheap enough though so don't worry much.

I've only used HH but good reads about DD.... Like this one:
Check out this item I found on eBay:

As the title says I'm wanting a vulcan bergen (size 4) with both side pouches and in a decent condition. I've emailed a few surplus stores, but would rather do business with my fellow members :)

Talon has now go on http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190911939785?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1586.l2649 Would prefer to sell it here and it would be cheaper for the buyer too. Let me know.
I think you won this round. Accessory cord comes out on top.
Some serious hammock heads would use this for sure, but before I become one of the 'old and bolds' I'll put this in the idea cupboard for another day.
Thanks all for your recommendations

Yeah I agree with that for the two inner bungees, but the outer ones will be going up to the ridgeline so crabs needed there.

What you saw in those pictures is how it arrived, so the size comparison against the milk bottle is not fully compressed. Now that it's been packed I've pulled all the webbing straps evenly to create the small ball look, so much smaller than the image :-)
As for carrying it with other kit...
I've been seeing different pictures of tarp setups with guy and Ridgelines that doesn't appear to be paracord. So what else can I use?
Obviously something that's going to last and has some play in it.

A lot of folks using mini karabiners to attach all four shock cords/bungees. If this is you can you recommend one that's able to stand up to a bit if use?
