Has any one had any experience with these knives?
I am thinking of buying a machete or bush knife from them to see how they go... they seem cheap and are made of carbon steel but i guess i would like to hear some first hand experience.

I bought the Belt knife and the finn bear. They arrived yesterday and i must say that i am pretty impressed with them so far. They are cheap and seem well made for the price and come shaving sharp out of the box!
It will be interesting to see what the consensus on this forum will be.....
Id love to know how these are made and what the possibility of re-handling is.... i have just bought the belt knife and finn bear so i don't need to be in the pass around....
i look forward to the reviews!
I've been thinking the same thing... i have a usmc bag and think i should be abel to sew some sort of fly wire into the bag without to much of a problem.
The other option is mossie head nets. They work pretty well combined with long sleves.

Thats a link to the old manufacturer of the woodlore tarps. This company makes Aust army issue gear and are great to deal with. To get the same hoochis in olive...
Here in Australia White gas is sold as Shelite and is a couple of bucks for a litre which lasts for a good week or so of SOLID use. I have a Dragonfly, but i wish the simmer lite was around when i was buying it as the Dragon fly is SUPER LOUD!
I think what i'd do is spray paint it. I have used a matte black paint on an old bag of mine that was a faded black cordura and it came up looking good. It does fade with time tho. Its not a perfect solution but its quick, non messy and would work ok.

Found this and it looks like somthing that could be used at a long term camp. seems simple enought to make. 2 terracotta pots sand between and some hessian or cloth.
have a look.
This is probably the best tutorial for sharpening a convex edge. Check it out you wont be dissapointed with the edge it will get. Shaving sharp every time!
