    Archery forums..

I would like to see an Archery one on here, tried some of the others and quickly stopped. Don't see any reason for an Airgun one as there is already an excellent one called The Airgun Forum (AGF)

If you had no ties and money wasn’t an issue, where would you move to?

I would go to Norway, suppose to be a very nice way of life over there

    Biggest Life Lesson

Please yourself and don't worry as much to please others without being selfish, regret the things you did and not the things you didn't.

    Next knife - Recommendations?

I have had Ray Mears AW knives and Wilkinson Sword RM and now the Lars Felt, I can highly recommend this knife and it is easily as good as anything else I have or have had.

    Healthy insect repellent

This is a very good tip, I have been using this for years, found this tip in Africa when I was there from the locals, it also works very well for flea treatment on dogs and the smell does not last that long.

    Rats

Find where the rat runs are and bait them with Peanut Butter and a humane shot to the head with a sub 12lbs air rifle. There is a country wide problem at the moment and the only real of keeping them down is shooting, poisoning will not only kill other species but the Rats can take a long while...

Any Alternatives in the UK - all the knives look the same

There is another forum called the AGF Air Gun Forum and there are some great Bladesmiths on there, might be worth having a look?

I'm going to show my age here...

Yeh I remember them, if memory serves right was the Bush tucker man Australian? Might be getting confused with that one though. The reason I got into it was a book I read in the 70s called "My side of the mountain" after reading that I wanted to be that kid living in the wilderness.

    Carrying your fire steel

I'm close to a very large private forest near where I work, me and the pup (avatar) wander through there and keep an eye on it for the owner, nice place to be.

Didn't see this when I posted about the lanyard below, perfect, thanks.

    Carrying your fire steel

Well I have found a lanyard with a belt loop and a magnetic catch that seems like it will do the job, sounds complicated but it isn't, as long as there together all the time might do the trick. Not going to pay this much, I'll buy the bits and make the leather strap. Thanks to everyone's ideas...

    Carrying your fire steel

Well simply because when I go out for a wander I rarely know if I am staying out so I don't take a backpack but I always take my knife and if it gets late I just set up camp, if it's with the knife I won't forget it.

    Carrying your fire steel

I use the Lars Falt knife with my Fire Steel, trouble is there is no holder on the sheath so my question, is there something I can get to clip it to the sheath in some way instead of it dangling, what do you guys use?
