I had something similar a couple of years ago - finshed work and met wife in Windsor. Had a couple of hours spare so thought we would go round castle. Only when emptied pocket for security guard and realised I had my lock knife which I use at work. Security guard gave me a few words of...

Fair comments - but this animal was already tame. The fox was only offered food after it came to me. I would also point out that when I noticed it the fox was within 10 feet of me working so was not bothered by large machinery ripping out a tree stump.
I can understand the problems in...
While working in a garden the other morning - I suddenly realized I was being watched by a fox. After a couple of minutes I moved away from the machine and the fox appeared. I have never come across a wild animal as tame. The customer supplied a cup of tea and as a sat and ate my sandwich the...

Cones will help with a positive i.d. but dont assume its the only identifier. You need to look at the needle etc. Quite a few conifers have similar attributes.
When a book only gives a common name it is difficult to get a positive match as often similar names are often used in different...

I also have a Thyroid problem so have tried to find the same solution for some time - Something I discovered was that Pre-Mac (all Pre-Mac filter use iodine) offer a Outlet Filter which removes the Iodine. It does mean that you have to filter everything twice but I tend to use it only on...
I agree this is one of the best book around for winter Identification. Winter identification can be as simple as a different shaped bud or leaf scars. I always have my copy in the van.
