    Recommend me a rucksack please

Hi, to jump on to this thread, i am looking for a large size 70 ltr plus for a 5 day+ hiking at about 20kg weight (all kit included as no drop offs or re-stocks available on route), can anyone recomend a good pack that is large enough and not stupidly heavy but has a good comfort to it? Cheers

First night out and some kit decisions

Sounds a great time out, signs of a good bushcrafter, missing kit and bad wetaher and not packing up and going home, well done on you both. Also hoping your son has the bug now and be an up and comming bushcrafter. good results. many more happy camps out.

Is this cheap lightweight stove any good?

Looks a good piece of kit, I use the Coleman F1 light and have no issues with that, only thing you have to be careful of these types of sit on burners, is that you have to keep an eye on the stove so it doesn’t fall over or get knocked, esp when stirring is involved. but an ideal option for when...

Just starting my prep work for a long distance solo hike across the Southdown’s, getting into the right mind set to get out and wild camp, totally different feeling to camping with mates or on a site, but once used to the new settings around you can find a good inner peace and a nice time to...
