Wheat bags! Get a proper long one (without Lavender if possible) hot as you can and try to find the best position for it - I find its along the arch of my pelvis on the affected side. Heat is your friend!
As a side note; If you are ever in a car accident and end up on a gurney in A&E with one...
Had a Weekend away recently, with the NCT class we joined when expecting our first daughter. Rented a big house on a farm out beyond Thirsk. Brilliant time more kids than adults and a very fine Pub/Micro Brewery.
They also had a wood stove in the house and a wood-store in one of the...
Mines a Movember left over as well glad to see another handlebar on the go - I'm enjoying mine too much to shave it off! I've even invested in Moustache wax!!
Cheers mate, I know I'm blagging, so ta very much and whenever/if ever is more than good enough. They used to turn up in seccy shops fairly regular but...
Thanks again!
Ay up Chiseller, I apologise if I'm jumping into owt I shouldn't but I've been trying to find summat like that for a while now. If you find any more in the 40" chest region I'd be interested.
Ta!
So let me get this right;
a small chopper is better than a large chopper as long as you know how to use it, is the consensus (apart from the chap who has a big chopper and wouldn't know what to do with a small one?).
Choppers, in general, can give you a nasty gash unless you handle them...
The Dreads gave the re-enactor bit away, unless you were going to do the "Battle of the Bean Fields". I only ever wear the dirk with evening dress so mostly sitting down with a little bit of country dancing thrown in, very different from out and about in the country.
Funnily enough I'm also...
@Dreadhead I like the sporran, good for casual day wear and a little different. I like the idea of the two way belt loop on the Sgian Dhu as well; I use a Cold Steel Culloden (I know!) for a practical day wear with the kilt as well as a backup knife when in the bush. If not carried in my hose...
I use a hobo stove on my allotment and nobody has ever bothered me about it, so go for it! Plenty of tracks to find on an allotment as well, though seeing as the fox will happily walk within a couple of feet of you it's not quite as rewarding as it could be!
Agreed, when in Rome and all that!
also agreed!
If you see a sign in the lift of a nice, well kept shop that says " Will customers please refrain from spitting on the floor of the lift signed The Management " wouldn't that change the way you see the shop?
I used to wear one of my Fathers army kilts in the scouts on camps and such and it was fine to wear, the main problem I found was the itchiness of the wool when sitting - and no pockets! I still wear it on occasions but most of my out and about stuff has been associated with rock climbing or...
I've just made one of my engineers take my car to be filled, I was down to the red. I said he could take the points for sitting in the queue but I still have a vague twinge of guilt!
Top up with Polish Spirit or a high proof Vodka or Gin if you feel the need for a stronger tipple. Or even use it instead of gin in the first place. I think the slight lowering of proof adds to the flavour anyway.
