    Bridge Camera for Bushcraft

Hi Mike, I do landscape photography semi professionally and I combine wild camping with lugging around 6.5kg of camera gear, so I can understand people who want lighter gear! Personally I would favor a Canon G10/G11 for what you are describing although neither of these do video, which I guess...

    Wet wood fire starting?

Wow, that's a huge help, you guys know your stuff! I've got a lot of ideas here to get a fire started the natural way (minus the firesteel of course) as well as a whole load of ideas for backup plans! This is great, I am sure if I practice a little before hand then it will be sucessful :)...

Buck 112 good first knife for camping/beginner bushcraft?

Buck 112 good first knife for camping/beginner bushcraft?

Okay thanks guys, I guess that's a definitive no for using it for any sort of bushcrafting then. Are there any affordable recommendations for something else? Realistically I can do without a knife at all for what I have planned for the time being (making a fire etc). Thanks very much for your...

    Wet wood fire starting?

Hi Guys, I thought I would pick your brains since I know nothing about fire lighting really and I'm sure there are plenty of you who do! I am planning to take my 14 year old cousin out in a Devon wood to teach him how to light a fire with fire-steel this Christmas. I've taken him camping...

Buck 112 good first knife for camping/beginner bushcraft?

Hi everyone, I was wondering if you could help me choose a knife. I'm currently in the US and whilst out here I thought I would pick up a knife, since they seem a little cheaper than in the UK. I have been short of a knife a few times when camping but managed to get by. Now I'd really like...

    Hello Everyone
