I always make Dock Pudding with the leaves when they are young.
Make some savoury suet dough and roll out into a large square. Spread the centre (leaving a gap around the sides) with cooked bacon, hawthorn leaves and a little butter, then roll up like a Roly Poly pudding and bake in the oven...
What brand is your juicer? I do a bit of homebrewing myself and was dabbling with the idea of getting a juicer. If yours managed to keep going for 2 1/2
hours it must be good!
I had the same problem, I tried using wine yeast which had badly tasting consequences! For all of the above I use Muntons Gold brewer's yeast. It gives excellent results and is very adaptable.
