I'm after a mat upgrade. I currently have a cheapo foam mat. Is it worth getting a self inflating one or a fancy reflective mat?)
If yes, which one? Cheaper the better :O)
It's a bit vague....but...I'm after a 2 person tent for hillwalking or just throwing in the back of the car.
I have a large vango 4 person tent at the moment for week long camping but I'm not hauling it into the wilderness if I fancy an overnighter in the hills!
Something sturdy with a little...
I'll take a pair but i'm just heading out the door for the night. I'll sort out the transfer and details tomorrow but if you could put a pair aside for me that would be great. thanks :)
I just got a DD frontline hammock. It comes with two bits of elastic rope for tying the mozzie net up and 10m of green webbing...I can't work out what the webbing is for?
Any info would be great!
thanks
Exactly! I'm not far from Rossie Secure Accommodation. I really don't need anything else to put me off.....It is the least secure place I have ever heard of!

I have just ordered a DD hammock kit.

It was our first time to both the site & an online meet-up. For most it would have been a case of matching up familure names to unfamilure faces which is hard enough but for us (having been on the forum about a week) it was learning both...
I have looked out the splitting maul (anyone can use it, if the shaft breaks, it breaks) & I'm happy splitting logs as long as my back holds out which could be 30 mins or all weekend. If I have a fire to watch I'm happy.
I have a few de-breasted chickens in the freezer. I think i have a few cooked & one uncooked. In fact I have a freezer full of good chicken stock & it would be nice to make use of & have the space back!
Just been for a look & we have:
Two cooked chickens minus breasts & legs (fine for a...
My Wife (Claire) & I are booked into the field friday & sat nights.
I have a new tent so excited about getting it put up for the first time (is's never going to go back in the carry bag). I have camped for years & I have watched Ray Mears / River cottage type progs. over & over but have never...
