Hello got a big spalted birch burl for free, it had been outside for 1 year. Thought I would do some knife/tool handles of it :). It was hard to handsaw in half, then I used an axe so it could fit under the band saw an then it was easy. You never know how the wood gonna look like :)...

Hello finished a flea market find. Don't worry nothing old got destroyed :). An unused and unfinished machine turned bowl from curly birch. Sanded it and finished it with linseed oil and beeswax. And of course, two really comparable before and after pictures :D... Before: After:

Hello I reused an old fillet knife, changed the handle and made a leather sheath for it :). I glued the handle together, the tang is tapered toward the blade so no risk it gonna slip out so I skipped the pegs.

Hello restored this little beauty I found at a flea market. 3 blades and 1 file. Very slim profile! Sharpened it and all 3 blades are hair poping sharp now. No play in the folding mechanism. I wonder how old i could be. It was made in Eskilstuna Sweden. Nice for EDC :). The ruler is in cm.

Hello long wanted a sheath for my spoon knife and today I made one from scraps I had. A off cut from pine, a hinge and a chopstick. Put some linseed oil and beeswax on it. :)

Hello filed down and sharpened a scissor and made it into a single bevel knife. The bevel is about 25 degrees. I split a piece of birch and carved it out to fit the scissors tang. I long wanted a single bevel knife to try. I was inspired by the great guy in this movie...

Hello why should one go through all the trouble of stitching one layer of leather? Leather dont rip like cloth. Is it only decorative or is there something more?
