    I like the river cottage book also, easy to use and the info is for over here, not from species all over the world. My advice mate is to take a two day wild fungi foraging course, about 70 to 100 pounds. Better to be safe than....dead.

    smash is back---for bushcraft!

    I had smash and lamb chops cooked in garlic butter at a moot over the weekend, always fry off the chops take out and put to one side, chuck in the water and add an oxo cube bring to the boil and whack in the smash.......All the other lads had MRI's and boil in a bag. Gotta love it.

    Brother stick to your dream of a traditional log cabin, i built our family cabin with my brother 9 years ago and we still love it today. Be it a shed or barn, the principal is the same. Take your time with the logs you have. Make sure your blades and saws are sharp and changed regular.

    Going to scottland in september

    Aviemore in the Caingorms is great and cheap. A little cabin in the YHA at the south end of town runs at 11 pounds a day or you can pitch a tent for a fiver and use the showers/internet and BBQ for free. hope this helps.
