    Right Tighty - Lefty Loosey

Righty tighty, lefty loosey is a modern term based on screw threads. I don't think it has anything to do with evolution. I think its more to do with if a parent is right handed... then when they pass something to a child, they are more likely to use their own right to grab it, as using the left...

    Woodlore pro knife

Its fine for a scandi grind. Don't need more for working with wood. Sorry for thread resurrection, but this popper up when i logged in, and only just realised there'd been no new posts. Go figure.

    Vacuum cleaner recommendation?

Because we don't really care. But our better halves do and insist on spending the time to educate us on how to remove said litter from the carpet. Shark corded upright here. Much better than the Dysons we've had, quieter too, anti hair wrap thingys... Important with half a dozen pets, and a...

What beekeeping related activities did you do recently?

While i don't keep bees, i do plant for them and leave dandelions in flower untouched as they are often the first pollen they have access to. I also have an insect house... one of those things made with loads of short lengths of garden cane/bamboo... and for the last 3 or 4 years... we get...

    Best bushcraft trousers?

I can't take all the credit. Rob Evans ( knifemaker and member of the forum, though not seen him on here for a while) suggested them to me. He knows his kit though.

    Trail Cams

I got one of these last Autumn. We had a Badger latrine just behind our house where the brambles are. They were eating the blackberries. In fairness, i've never actually set it up and used it, but the reviews are good, both Amazon and Youtube. It wasn't a lot of money. Not rechargeable though...

Do you use a camera or phone?

Can't quite remember what my high score was on Snake. All i do remember is that there was maybe one or two squares space left on the screen... An endeavour in frustration. lol. Of course, this was back when i was young, and my eyes and reflexes were as they should be.

So how do you know you dream of it every night?

    In Despair

Then don't. If you're incapable of doing it by yourself, you shouldn't be doing it to begin with. Take stock. What can you do, what can't you do? If you can't afford to pay someone to do the heavy lifting... how can you afford to move at all? Are you getting a little ahead of yourself? A...

    RATS!

Eggshells and citrus peel. Both good for the soil, both deter cats. And slugs and snails hate egg shells too so don't like crossing them. Win win win.

Do you use a camera or phone?

Mine (knives) are taken on either an old log or a some Yorkshire stone that used to be part of a wall. Could probably sell the stone for similar to what i sell a knife for. :D

Do you use a camera or phone?

So you have both then? lol. Given that phones are cameras and computers at the same time!

Do you use a camera or phone?

Phone these days Tony. Phone cams have caught up a lot with proper cameras, and its much easier to upload pics from a phone. I need to plug my camera into my PC via a cable. Even though the camera can potentially take better pics, i'm not savvy enough to make use of it. I expect Gary (Wayland)...

    Deer deterrence

Shotguns or rifles. Followed by stew, roast, steak or pie. If there's a few of them, You'll only to feed yourself well once. So many softies on the forum. Solve a problem and feed a family at the same time. Jobs a good 'un

    RATS!

Get a couple of good sized cats. Underfeed them a little (not enough to harm health, just keep them a little bit hungry)... Problem will solve itself. Cats will kill some, rest will know they will get chomped on... they will leave/avoid. You get good company, pest control, and not needing...
