    Rabbit

Great timing on this thread as i had my first real taste of rabbit sunday, i gotta say i wasnt too impressed. My folks made a stew, they arent the best cooks in the world though so i guess it was how it was prepared. It was very tough and had a really strong flavour.

    Pyrites & Flint

From what i have read you need to find the right piece of pyrites, i saw a RM episode also and he said that you need the smoother type that you find by shorelines, and you can test its sound to make sure its solid, that way it wont break apart.

    can you id these?

I have no idea on the mushroom that cant be eaten with alcohol, but i do know that its not just at the time of eating, or that day. you must wait 3 days before consuming any alcohol as the reaction can be very serious. So be careful :)

    Unfair Game.

What i would suggest is a mix of lines, say 6lb, 12lb and 20lb. For coastal / estury fishing your guna want sand eel jigs. Inland lures that mimic roach ect for pike / large perch. I would also suggest hook ranges from 6 - 16 and a few wires traces. If i was in a survival situation i would want...

Pigeon breast main stuffed with crushed hazel / sweet chestnuts roasted over open fire accompanied with roasted cattail roots. Starter would be a nettle soup using a stock from the pigeon carcas.
