Me, Being the Responsible Adult in the House

(This is a phrase I seem to use more and more). (And be more and more...) At some effort and expense, I got some wool labels for my Iron Age kit. So I know how to wash them and hopefully not make a mistake. Or, if someone else does the laundry, and makes a mistake, I can point and say...

    Writing a Will

Im getting round to it. A few questions What do you do if you do not know anyone who can be an executor? Burials...The cemetery in my village is miserable and haunted by Muntjacs; how do I arrange to be buried in another parish?

    An Omission...Both Nessmuk and Kephart

I am a big fan of both of them, as you know. But re-reading I spot an omission, to my eyes. They talk a bit about survival, (though are mostly Bushcraft) but assume that you are in possession of (dry) matches. No alternative fire lighting, as more modern authors talk about.

I have been talking with Tony about me delivering a talk on my work this summer Moot. So, I guess I will have to come as an Iron Age Camper. What kit will I need? What tent might be useful? The only thing I can think of is that goatskin tent found at Vindolandia. But that might be beyond my...

    Playing it safe

Living in the Iron Age a lot of my clothing these days is of wool, and of course it has to be washed.
