    Christmas tree bauble.

My wife loves to decorate the tree each year, so I thought I would make her a new bauble, and hang it in the tree myself. I wonder how long it will take before she notices it?

    Mora Bushcraft Bowie

Does anyone have any information on this Mora bowie knife, I can't seem to find any info on the Mora site or H&H. It looks like a bushcraft forest (s), but with a bowie clip point. Not looking to sell, but would like to know when the production run started/ended? Were these a limited run? Any...

    Made a Knobkerry.

Found a nice piece of Hawthorn on my permission a couple of months ago, not the best but I'll work with what I've got. First I peeled it, then set it aside until last week. Much filing and sanding later, I ended up with a very comfortable cane, that swings nicely too. The dogleg at the bottom...

    First outing of the year.

Home for three nights. First outing of the year proved a mixed bag weatherwise. Thursday setup in lovely sunshine, but Friday rained heavily all day. Saturday warm and bright, but got chilly towards the evening. Packing away Sunday morning the tarps were damp from an early morning mist, but...

    Folding handle pan

I have an old crepe pan that I've used for years, it's beautifully seasoned now. Packing the pan was always a bit of a niggle, because of the handle catching on other bits of kit, and I don't like attatching kit to the outside of my pack. So I decided to make the handle foldable. Using an angle...

    Natures efficiency.

I hadn't realized this before. Why waste energy defending what is not being attacked.

    Wanted plastic crusader/ bcb mug.

Hi all. I was wondering if anyone had a black plastic mug, for the crusader cook kit. Looking to complete my own. I have a nice leather belt dangler, made by Sonni of 'Beneath The Stars Leathercraft' to trade.

    Homemade Dutch oven/Potjie lid lifter.

I wanted to make a lid lifter for my groups 2 Dutchies, using bits of wood and gloved hands was getting a pain. So I thought I'd put my near non existent metal bashing skills to the test. So a bit of roadpin, a bit of gas torch and a touch of welding, I ended up with something functional. Any...

    Four nights out.

A few pics of my recent four nights out. I headed off to Suffolk last Wednesday for a meet with the Suffolk bushcraft group, to make the most of this fine spell of weather here. Using half of my size one Polish poncho and Bushcraft Spain extension panel, i set up camp in a quiet clearing in the...

Just back from a weekend in Selsey, where I came across a lot of this plant growing locally. A new one to me, any ideas as to it's id? Thanks in advance.

    DIY wood gas stove.

I made this wood gas stove from a couple of tins I had lying around, a bit of fun for an hour or so. It works surprisingly well, bringing 300ml of water to a boil in six minutes. The tins I used were a baked bean tin and a large soup tin, although any other suitably sized containers will do...

    Trip Report Lovely long weekend.

Had a fantastic four nighter over the long weekend, with some of the guys from the Suffolk Bushcraft Group. Setting up camp on the Thursday in warm sunshine, is always a bonus. Friday had rain from midday till 2am, Saturday thunderstorms all afternoon, which soon turned the tracks into quagmire...

    Weekend in Suffolk.

Had a great weekend in the woods in Suffolk. Very mixed weather, but stayed dry under DD XL tarp. The recent high winds had caused a fair bit of damage, and the rain had made it pretty muddy. Still three nights out, are good for the soul.
