Hi, does anyone have any info on this Marechal 2-3 man tent I've just been given. It's in a remarkably good condition for I'm guessing, a mid 70's to 80's canvas tent. It doesn't seem to have a model type printed on it, just the Marechal patch. Can the hive mind shed any light on this?
I'm...
Lovely sunshine here today, and out popped another bloom.
There are a couple more buds getting ready to pop, I'm hoping for one to bloom on christmas day.
Just saw this on FB from The Rochdale Herald. :poke:
Stone Age Tribe Found Alive and Well in Burnley
Archaeologists were left “absolutely gobsmacked” this week after stumbling upon what is believed to be a fully functioning Stone Age tribe living in the heart of Burnley, blissfully unaware that...
The Suffolk Bushcrafters had their semi annual xmas dinner last weekend.
Dry but windy setup on Friday, but by 5pm the rain set in, although we were nice and dry under the group shelter.
Rain stopped about 6am on the Saturday, which turned out to be a cold but sunny day. After a late breakfast...
A few photos from my four nighter in Suffolk. Not much to report, just a chilled long weekend.
Tenth Wonder hammock, to which I fitted a 3mm Dyneema structural ridge line, makes setting up a lot quicker, and a DD XL tarp.
The weather was lovely for walks around the woods and fields.
looks like...
Spent an hour or so yesterday adapting an old bbq burger grill, into a folding squirrel cooker type grill. I just need to find a suitable piece of tube to make a sleeve, so I can cut the road pin in half, then join it together again as needed.
Hi, I'm looking to make an adjustable ridgeline for my hammock, and was wondering if anyone knew where to get 4 or 5 meters of 2-3mm Amsteel or Dyneema? I only seem to be able to order far more than I need, at silly prices.
Hoping the hive mind can help, cheers.
My wife loves to decorate the tree each year, so I thought I would make her a new bauble, and hang it in the tree myself.
I wonder how long it will take before she notices it?
Does anyone have any information on this Mora bowie knife, I can't seem to find any info on the Mora site or H&H.
It looks like a bushcraft forest (s), but with a bowie clip point. Not looking to sell, but would like to know when the production run started/ended? Were these a limited run? Any...
Found a nice piece of Hawthorn on my permission a couple of months ago, not the best but I'll work with what I've got.
First I peeled it, then set it aside until last week. Much filing and sanding later, I ended up with a very comfortable cane, that swings nicely too. The dogleg at the bottom...
Home for three nights.
First outing of the year proved a mixed bag weatherwise. Thursday setup in lovely sunshine, but Friday rained heavily all day. Saturday warm and bright, but got chilly towards the evening. Packing away Sunday morning the tarps were damp from an early morning mist, but...
I have an old crepe pan that I've used for years, it's beautifully seasoned now.
Packing the pan was always a bit of a niggle, because of the handle catching on other bits of kit, and I don't like attatching kit to the outside of my pack.
So I decided to make the handle foldable. Using an angle...
Hi all. I was wondering if anyone had a black plastic mug, for the crusader cook kit. Looking to complete my own.
I have a nice leather belt dangler, made by Sonni of 'Beneath The Stars Leathercraft' to trade.
I wanted to make a lid lifter for my groups 2 Dutchies, using bits of wood and gloved hands was getting a pain. So I thought I'd put my near non existent metal bashing skills to the test. So a bit of roadpin, a bit of gas torch and a touch of welding, I ended up with something functional. Any...
A few pics of my recent four nights out.
I headed off to Suffolk last Wednesday for a meet with the Suffolk bushcraft group, to make the most of this fine spell of weather here.
Using half of my size one Polish poncho and Bushcraft Spain extension panel, i set up camp in a quiet clearing in the...
