    What fuel do you use?

Sandwiches work, or sausage rolls, pasties, fruit, a bag of crisps...... I don't even cook most of my meals at home at this time of year, who wants hot food in this weather? The world's a tinderbox right now, if you can't spend time in the outdoors without setting fire to something...

The perfect "Two Knife" bushcraft set

That's not what legit means in this context, possibly a bit of a generational thing. It means "legitimate choice", as in it's fit for purpose, not "mickey mouse".

    New Mora Farnas

I'm really not sure what mora are aiming for there. The design is neither one thing nor another, the fit and finish is utterly appalling, Ash (unless it's been pumped full of epoxy resin) is a really poor choice for scales, I don't understand whether that's supposed to be a choil or if it...

Can you help me choose a small multipurpose camp knife?

Hultafors HVK £4.51 at the moment from the first link I found. Ticks all the boxes apart from full tang. Personally I'd rather have a dedicated knife for food prep, but I generally just use something from the kitchen at home.

    A small collecton of skulls

Housemartin, hopefully the box that I keep it in and the weight on the scales should give an idea of how incredibly tiny it is. I shall be taking no further questions on the scales.

    A small collecton of skulls

A slightly damaged Badger and an almost perfect Fox, (hopefully) showing some of the differences between the two.

The perfect "Two Knife" bushcraft set

I've seen the size of him Sam, by "donate" do you mean he's mugging you?

    A small collecton of skulls

What an absolutely fantastic post, animal skulls are fascinating. I'll add mine tomorrow when I've got some decent light to take photos.

    Dangerous trees

Yesterday, Poplar at the bottom of the garden. Luckily it fell away from the sheds, flattened a few Willows as it came down though. The kids are loving it, clambering all over it like little monkeys.

The perfect "Two Knife" bushcraft set

Well you've ruined the damn thing now Jonathan! That's no way to treat a gift.

The perfect "Two Knife" bushcraft set

Broch makes an incredibly valid point that it really does depend on how you define "bushcraft", I still don't know and I've been practicing and/or teaching it since way before it was called bushcraft. However, I'm going to go with uncle Ray's version as laid out in his "The Survival Handbook"...

    What are you listening to?

Probably more prepper than bushcraft, either way, the choreography is phenomenal, and the 6G thermite is a nice touch

    Welcome, enjoy!

    Sharpening stones

IMO the spyderco doublestuff is probably the best pocket stone currently available. That said, my go-to is the ceramic half of a very old dc4 and a DMT diamond "stone" (the red one). I only use the DMT because the diamond wore out on my dc4 and I don't like the "new" style ceramic that...

Am I carrying too much gear.

I can't speak for John, but I've managed it on a bottle of sloe gin and a map of the local hedge bottoms.

    Waterborne Viruses/Filter limits/W.HighlandWay

I think if you're relying on an old t-shirt to filter your water then a sense of humour is more or less compulsory.

    Waterborne Viruses/Filter limits/W.HighlandWay

It's a perfectly understandable mistake, milton/millbank, both used for "cleaning" water... My brian aslo strugglez wiv spellink sumtymes, better old than the alternative though :)

    Waterborne Viruses/Filter limits/W.HighlandWay

Millbank bag not milton bag, sorry, it's bugging me. Milton make sterilising tablets for baby bottles.

Am I carrying too much gear.

Me neither, it's a whole decade since I ran bushcraft courses full time :)
