It is my Uncle Raymond. It fits in the Mora sheath perfect. Even clicks in and holds like the Mora. I like it better than the one it came with And I can put it in my pocket. you can’t really wear that shoulder one in summer without looking like a goober And scaring people. It is OK when you...

    Day out looking for hornets

You see them on heathland all the time. I just walk around looking for them flying about. Then follow them. If you put on a face mask and breathe carefully you can get right up close to the nest and watch them. If you breathe on them, they notice the carbon dioxide and think there is a...

    Day out looking for hornets

I had to ask what a FAK was as it sounded rude. It is in that little pouch at the top of my back pack. It is not in a seperate pouch so I didnt want to spread it out on the grass. I did say about it when I was talking about honey. Don’t assume I am new to this and a complete dumb dumb Like...

    Day out looking for hornets

Hornets are my favourite insects. Got up early this morning to go over Kinver looking for a nest. Took Paul Ks book so I could relax by the river and read it later on the way back. But I forgot it as mom was taking forever to dry my trousers and in the end I just wore them damp, but that was...

    Fish ID

I saw that when I was taking the picture. Like bullets. I can sit and watch them for hours. It is very relaxing. I have Paul’s new axe and campcraft book and it’s going to be nice tomorrow, so I will take that up there and read it By the stream.

    Fish ID

No, they are swimming forwards, but going backwards In the current. I guess the current is faster than their swimming speed. If you know what I mean.

How many do you want :lmao: And that was just the ones hanging around. There’s a million more with different handles With his silly snakes on them. And the Ray Mears ones. Which he pinched back one off me.

    Otzi

I’ll find out. Dad says he makes loads of stuff. Cow skin canoes, cordage, all traditional bone tools and flint stuff. He made a willow bark rope that he even abseiled with. it was more a display of skills tent, but dad convinced him to part with a few things as he has always wanted an Otzi...

    Fish ID

I only ever see them going the same way up stream. Never going the other way. I wonder if there is a big fish traffic jam further up stream when they can’t go any further.

I already pinched the sperm whale bone spear. But it will look good with the knife. They are really well made. Even the cords on them are all natural And made by the same chap. He has some massive skills

I saw that first one.It looks like it has good pictures of his tools and stuff. But the reviews say it’s not very in-depth. I will try and look for the Dr Dilleys seminar.

They were much bigger. They were huge. And three of them, but that one has been sharpened out.
